Patricia Swatzel, RECS
Commercial Sales & Leasing Associate

Patricia Swatzel, Broker in the State of Oregon and Sales Associate in the State of Hawaii.
Patricia specializes in Wailea and Makena Homes and Condominiums in Hawaii. Her Sixteen years of Real Estate experience has included helping clients with their individual and specialized needs of residential sales and leasing and sales of commercial properties.

Her Real Estate career began in 1993 when she earned her Property Management License. Her first employer was Mr. Bill Naito, from the company of Made in Oregon Shops. Mr. Naito was a Real Estate Developer, of legendary status. She was responsible for the leasing and management of his Old Town Historical Properties. She felt very fortunate to begin her career with such a respected and successful developer.

In 1995 Patricia earned her Real Estate license and began her association with Windermere in Portland, Oregon. Her primary focus was in commercial sales and the leasing of commercial properties.

In 1999 Patricia was contacted by Woodland Properties; Japanese owned Residential Real Estate Company. She was offered an opportunity to again work with a Japanese-oriented company. Patricia specialized in placing Asian clients into the sales, and leasing of Historic office buildings, retail, land, and investment homes. This time with Woodland Properties afforded her an invaluable experience working with International Clients.

After many years of traveling and planning a move to Maui, Hawaii in 2004 Patricia’s husband accepted a position with Goodfellow Brother’s Inc. She soon became a Sales Associate with Coldwell Banker Island Properties. She had worked with them for approximately eighteen months when she was advised that Windermere Real Estate Office had opened at The Shops of Wailea. She immediately requested an interview and, happily, was asked to join their sales group.

She feels right at home with Windermere; back to the company she started with in Oregon. She anticipates a long and mutually successful relationship.  While she was with Windermere she was afforded an opportunity to work for Armstrong Properties, in their new Townhome Project; Kai Malu in Wailea.  She was the sales representative for the developer, Bob Armstrong.  Pat was very successful in helping the clients purchase the Kai Malu Condos and in helping Real Estate Agents in Wailea show their clients the properties.  Her position lasted until the project was finished and the project was turned over to the Owner’s of Kai Malu.

Then she returned to Windermere at the Shops; subsequently Windermere, due to economic conditions closed their only Maui office. Pat was invited to join Island Sotheby's International Realty office in Wailea.  She is pleased and honored to part of a very nice group of successful and happy people; and looks forward to a long and successful relationship.

Patricia is a member of several professional associations and is an active member of the Maui Church of Christ where she teaches children’s Bible School. Patricia and her husband Gary have two sons. One lives in Oregon and the other one in Washington. They travel back to Oregon their home for 32 years a couple of times a year. Their dream was to live in Maui. They are happy to say they are living their dream.
